College List
The six schools I picked were Boston University, Monmouth University, New York University, Columbia University, Jacksonville University, and Rutgers.
Boston University is my number one choice in a college. I selected this school because I believe it is the right choice for me. BU has a well-known premed program. I also love the location. The only thing that I have a problem with in this school is the tuition. It is $38,440 and then $11,848 on top of that for room & board. Another good thing about BU is that they allow first-year students to have a car which means that I could keep a car and drive home on weekends.
Monmouth University is the second school on my list. I selected this school mainly because of its location and because it close to home but yet far enough. They also allow first year students to have cars so I could easily go home whenever I wanted. What stood out to me about this school is that they have a study abroad program. I would love to spend a semester in Italy.
The Third school on my list is New York University. NYU is part of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools which means it is an institute of higher education. It definitely is more difficult to get in than a lot of other schools. Their percent of applicants admitted is only 38%, which means that less than half of people who apply to this school are actually accepted. Again, one of the reasons why I like this school is because of it’s location. It is not to far from home.
Columbia University is my fourth pick in a school. Ever since I was little I used to tell my parents I wanted to go to college here because I thought it was one of the best schools you could ever go to and I guess that’s one of the main reasons it’s on my college list. Columbia is a hard school to get into. They only accept 37% of their applicants. It is the most expensive school on my list at being $39,910 without room&board, books, etc.
Jacksonville University is fifth on my list. I do not know much about this school but they do have a premed program. I also love the location. It would be amazing going to college in Florida.
Rutgers is last on my list because of the fact that it is such a widely known school and ” everyone ” REALLY do seem to go there. Other than that it does have the major that I would like to major in and is the cheapest of all six schools at only $ 11, 886 a year.

Social Media Revolution
This video might just be one of the most interesting videos that I have ever seen on YouTube. It expresses the real facts about how the internet, social networking, and computers in general have taken up the majority of our lives. Parts of our lives HAVE to revolve around computer in certain instances. Now, people have jobs in which all they do is use the computer. People also take full college courses online. People even rely on online dating to find them a soul mate. Years ago this kind of stuff would have sounded insane, but it is very much a reality. Computers make everything easier and more convenient. It is easier to contact and communicate with people.

The father of the ‘balloon boy’ pleaded guilty for having a hoax saying his son six year old son was drifting over Colorado in a balloon. When the balloon had finally landed, he was not in the balloon. ‘Balloon Boy’ was found hiding in his house. His son Falcon confessed during an interview on Larry King Live that his parents told him to do that for a show. His sentence began Monday. He pleaded guilty in November for attempting to influence a public servant. Prosecutors said that ‘balloon boys’ mother and father came up with this hoax to be on a reality TV show. A judge sentenced ‘balloon boys’ father to spend 90 days in custody and spend 30 nights in jail. If he has a job during the day he will be able to leave jail in the daytime and attend to work and then return to jail at night. He is also on four years of probation and during each of those four years he will have to serve 100 hours of community service.

creative story
After the usual long horrible day, I finally got to go lay down and try to fall asleep ; but just like every night of the past year, it was a struggle. Every night was a mix of flipping from left to right and staring at the ceiling for a while. Everything about my day was replaying in my mind. The drama, the backstabbing, and how I was loosing trust is so many people that I once gave all my trust to. At this point I would do practically anything to fall asleep and escape to la la land. Then, out of no where, something hit me in the forehead. Unsure of what it was, I quickly sat up and scanned the room for anyone or anything. As I went to grab the flashlight that I have hidden under my bed, I decided that it was all in my head and sat down on my bed and turned on the TV for a little while before trying to fall asleep again. Out of no where a little voice greeted me with “hello”. I then answered, “Who’s here? Who are you? Where are you?” The little voice quickly replied and said, ” My name is Madison. I am down here!” I looked down but still could not see where the little voice was coming from. ” I apologize, but I think I’m going crazy. Where are you?” All of a sudden I felt something hit me on my chin. I looked down to see a little women sitting on my knee. She had the biggest smile on her face and apologized for hitting me with a heart box that must’ve bounced off my chin and splatttered all over my fluffy pink carpet. She had long blonde hair and sparkling blue eyes. ” After you find all the pieces that fell out of that box, I can tell you why I’m here”, she said. I frantically started looking all over my room for things that might have fell out of this small red box. I found a few old photographs, a large gold key, and a beautiful necklace that seemed to be very old. I carefully put all the items back into the heart- shaped box and handed it back to her. She told me that she was going to take me on a journey and to remember it for as long as I live. I nervously nodded my head and she told me to close my eyes. I opened them a few minutes later to find myself in an open meadow full of beautiful pink, red, and yellow flowers with a large white house with red shutters at the end of it. The sun was shining intensely and you could feel the cool breeze of the spring. Madison told me that she was gonna show me through her life. We were back in her past. We walked into the house and she showed me around. It was very cozy and comfortable and we were watching as her mother, her father, and herself as they down to breakfast at a large dining table. It stretched out and covered the whole dining room. They were sitting at the far end and from where I was standing, I could see them all perfectly. The sun was seeping in through the thin white curtains. They all seemed so happy and all got along so wonderfully. It was all laughs and smiles. I wondered why she was showing me this? She stayed quiet throughout the whole thing. A few minutes later we appeared in a different scene. This time we appeared at a boating dock. The waves were roughly hitting against the dock, causing it to be rocky and difficult the walk on. We watched her mother and father get onto a small white boat with a picnic basket. I was guessing that they were going to have a picnic lunch out on the boat. I was still all very confused about where this was going. Once again, within minutes there was a huge change of scenery. Now we were at a funeral. It was a dark rainy day and Madison was crying and holding the necklace that fell out of the box in my room very tightly. Obviously her parents died that day on the boat. The necklace was given to her by her Mother. I turned to her and told her how sorry I was and then we were in another scene. An orphanage. Her whole family had abandoned her and left her to be an orphan. I could see the all the hurt and pain in her face. Her trust in people was completely demolished since then. We walked through the rest of her childhood and she explained to me all the different parts in her life and how it was so rough. But she also told me that she made it rough for herself. She choose to block people out and that was all her fault. We quickly flashed through times in her life – her wedding, giving birth to her children, and then just her .. alone..again. These scenes represented in the pictures that also fell out of the box in my room. ” What happened?”, I asked. She told me that everything failed because of her mistrust in people. ” My marriage failed because I was constantly accusing my husband of cheating when deep down inside was just afraid of loosing him”, she started breaking down into sobs. ” And my children .. well I never took the chance to get to know them that well. I tried to keep them by their father’s house after the divorce as much as I could. I did not want to get close to them and loose them because they are the most precious and important things in my life.” She ended up alone in the end because she never got close to people anymore after she lost her family when she was younger. She never gave people another chance. She explained to me how her life was after that. She lost contact with the man that she loved and her children. Her children claimed that she was never there for them and that they did not want anything to do with her. She showed me her “significant” house. The house that was in her mind of where she lived. It was a small dark blue cottage surrounded by a circle of never ending wall. The wall represented the wall that she put up when she was younger and never let down. She was trapped inside this wall and never let anyone in, but just ended up hurting herself in the process. Then POOF we were back inside my room. Madison handed me back the box and told me to keep it with me always. I understood what the necklace and pictures meant but there was one thing I didn’t. The large gold key. Madison told me to hang it up in my room and whenever I was loosing faith in myself or people to take a look at it and remember what happened to her. The key represented the key to the gate of the wall. It is okay to not trust people 100% but ALWAYS have faith in them. Never block everybody out. Make sure to open and knock down that wall to people. And then… she was gone. Basically, the lesson she taught me was to stop stressing over everything that was happening in my life and to just live. That was the reason why I could not sleep at night. Because of all the things I was stressing over and all the things I worry about. She taught me that even things may happen in life to cause me to mistrust people, I should always keep my faith and never completely block them out because then I would be missing out on the true aspect of life.

10 things that make me laugh.

- My best friend since first grade, Amanda is probably one of the only people who can always make me laugh no matter what mood I’m in. She one of the funniest people I know and there’s no doubt that she can make almost anybody laugh.
- George Lopez.
- People who blurt out random things all the time.
- Ileana is probably another one of my funniest friends. Everyday in school I look forward to going to art class because she ALWAYS has the funniest stories to tell me. My favorite one’s are about her little sister and how badly she annoys her and girls that are constantly trying to start drama with her. I find them hilarious.
- Dr. Pat.
- It’s funny that people go out of their way to start with other people and then when it comes back around to them they start complaining how much they hate drama. People can be so fake. I’ve seen so many girls who sit in a class and talk about certain people the entire time and then go outside and give them the biggest hug in the hallway. It’s really pathetic.
- Getting stuck in random places without a ride.
- When people are mad at you and then trip on their Addias flipflop.
- Joey’s little cousins.
- When I hear other people laughing, I can’t help but laugh along with them.
